This trip we arrived an there was only one couple waiting to be seated although the dining room appeared quite full. The hostess, who never really greeted us, told the people who arrived after us that the wait would be about 5 minutes. That couple, who arrived after us and did not have a reservation, was seated 20 minutes later. We waited another 10 minutes before they got to us. At this point I was frustrated.
Our waitress was obviously working too many tables. She was a nice girl and had she had a more reasonable number of tables I would have said the service was excellent. It was not her fault that she could not attend to us in a more timely manner.
The kids were excited to see a drink that we purchase at convenience stores as bug juice. The menu called it something different but it was the same product. I would have rather they had milk but I wasn't going to fight at this point.
We ordered kids meals for each of our three children. My husband got the prime rib which was cooked just right. I had baked stuffed scallops and they were overcooked. My four year old loved them though.
I still feel that two hours in a family dining style restaurant is too long. Even with the crowd, I would have expected something a little closer to an hour or just over. There are other good choices in the area so we will probably pass by Rosette's next time. We had wished we went to McDonald's after this experience.
